Janice received an M.A. in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Sports Psychology in 1986 from John F. Kennedy University in Orinda, CA. She earned her B.S. in Recreation and Leisure Studies with a Therapeutic Option in 1976 from San Jose State University. She has been a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California since 1992 and in Nevada since 2003. Prior to this, she was a Nationally Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist from 1977 to 1999.
Janice brings a uniquely deep, holistic and compassionate approach to work with her clients. She treats children, adolescents, and adults and has practiced in all levels of care – from community to hospital settings. Janice strives to provide a safe and nurturing relational environment where one can confront one’s sources of pain, distress and personal limitations. She specializes in EMDR, EFT, mindfulness, optimal performance and motivational development for personal lifestyle changes and growth.
As a healthcare professional, wife, mother and lifelong lover of the natural world, Janice is committed to supporting others in developing their true relationships to themselves, others and the environment. In her free time she enjoys hiking, backpacking, cross country skiing, and appreciating the arts.
